Next Steps

If you've decided to apply to Gordon State College, we thank you and look forward to seeing you on campus next semester. There are still a few items we need you to complete before you'll be able to start attending classes.
 

  1. Apply for Financial Aid

  3. Set Up Your Gordon Student Email
    • This is our primary means of communicating with you. We recommend checking it regularly for messages from us.
  4. Submit Official Documents to Complete Your Admissions File
    • You can submit your forms 4 ways:
            - You can bring them to the Office of Admissions.
            - You can fax your documents to (678) 359-5080
            - You can email your scanned documents to admissions@gordonstate.edu
            - You can also mail in your documents to:

Welcome to the Highlander Family! Now you can take your next steps to enroll.

  1. Confirm (Starting in Fall 2017) - FRESHMEN STUDENTS ONLY
    • Confirm that you will be attending by completing the confirmation process. All accepted freshman students with test scores will receive an e-mail with the link to confirm that you plan on attending Gordon State.  Once you confirm, you will receive an e-mail within ten days with guidelines and a link to register for classes.  Please check your personal and Gordon State e-mail for the confirmation link. Please Note: If you have been accepted and have not submitted your SAT or ACT test scores, you must submit official SAT or ACT scores to the Admissions Office to be evaluated before you will be eligible to confirm  and register for classes. Please check your personal and Gordon State e-mail for the confirmation link. 
  2. Registration
    • At Gordon State, we make registration simple.  Once you confirm your attendance you will be e-mailed registration information. This information is specifically for you based on your major. Check your Gordon Email frequently.
  3. Look for your invitation to the Celebration Dinner for accepted freshmen
    • We are excited to invite our accepted students to the Celebration Dinner for accepted students.  Check your email for an invitation to this event where you will enjoy dinner, music, photo booths, meet our Harry the Highlander mascot and mingle with faculty and staff. If you have confirmed your attendance, you will also receive your official Gordon State student ID card.
  4. Apply for Financial Aid
    • If you have not already applied. You need to apply early to receive your funding by the time classes begin. 
  5. Apply for Housing
    • Select from three housing options: apartments, suites, or traditional. Apply early to get your first choice of housing style. You have the best commute to class and make lifetime friends when you live on campus.
